Adios Rafa Benitez

As you can see, havoc snow came across europe, but football never run out hot news, especially in Italian football as the Italian and European Champion, which also my favourite team, Inter milan, has decide to alter thing a bit by lending Rafa Benitez to impeachment.

This is not such a surprising news, though, as with rafa at the helm, Inter was struggle in all competion. Signing for Inter just 6 month ago, Rafa failed to deliver not only successed, but the main important thing is Clubs confidents as well as the fans. Having the best in Italy last season, Inter currently sitting in 6th position in Serie A, even worst in Champion league after they are being stun by Tottenham Hotspurs and Wender Bremen, both managed to score 3 goals againts inter, who was the best defensive team last season. Even though Inter managed to win Italian super cup and Club World cup, Atletico madrid able to send warning to the Inter supremmo as they occupied European Super Cup by beating nerazzurri 2-0. Even worst, just after Inter won the Club World Cup, Rafa does offering himself to the devil by sending an ultimatum to Inter board, something that even Jose Mourinho never done it before.

What on earth does he thinking?

For me, Rafa was surely looking to the way out of Inter. By sending an Ultimatum, right after the Club World Cup celebration, he seems to know what he is doing. As maybe some of you havent noticed yet, Rafa gets minimum 3 mill Euro compensation if Inter does sack him before his current contract expires. And he gets it. Latest official news says that Moratti has agreed to released rafa, as well as the compensation money. If he decided to leaves by himself,then he will get nothing. I smell some conspiracy, huh??

Then why is it happen??

Too much to discuss as many factor can be included, but one thing for sure is Rafa dont have the “unmistakable” thing. Too many problem there, as Injuries, motivation, lack of new player, tactical approach, calciopolli, and even luck. And dont you (ever) compare the way Rafa has done this year, to what Mourinho has done last year. You could see massive gap that even bunch of goliath cant cover it up.

So my conlussion is here: Rafa dont have the board backup (new signing) -> Bad tactical apparoach ( even if he managed to gain new player) -> injuries problem make it worse -> Bad result -> The fans blame him -> he feel “enough” but if he quit he gets nothing -> issued an ultimatum -> Eurekaaa, Rafa vanished from Inter.

So,What’s next??

Whoever in charge of a team who has won almost everything as Inter Milan did last year, will have such a difficult time. Surely he need time to change and settle, as well as money to buy new player, then slowly turn the team upside-down. Pressure will be massive, but when things have change from bad to good, those pressure will dramatically turn into some kind of aphrodite who sent a lot of love to you. Steel nerves needed, and also has experience in Italian football. Something that only Fabio Capello will fit in to it.... I hope...
